HI! My name is Betsey Dirkse. I grew up in Southern California and was raised in a Christian home. I committed my life to Christ in high school while being a part of an awesome youth ministry at Grace Community Church in So Cal. At the end of my Senior year of high school I began dating my husband John and was married one year later at the age of 18. That same year John graduated from The Master’s Seminary. John and I have been married 31 years. John is the Senior Pastor of Redeemer Church in Rockford, Illinois where we have been the past 20 years. We have five grown children, four of whom are married. Luke (Megan), Alyssa (Sam), Lauren (Andrew), Emma (Gabe), and Olivia and 6 amazing grandchildren, Ranger, Colette, Rockrose, Maverick, Augustus and Buchanan. My life has one simple aim and that is to love and honor Jesus Christ with everything in me. For the past 31 years that has meant loving and supporting my husband in his God ordained calling, and loving and supporting our children as they grow into adulthood. I absolutely love being a wife, a Mom and a Grandma. The more I can give my life away for others the more Christ gets glory and I find joy.
