A BRIEF HISTORY

BRAVE Church began with a burning conviction: to preach the authority of God’s Word without apology, to worship in Spirit and Truth, to pray without ceasing, and to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with boldness. These were the pillars for making disciples who would live courageously for Christ without compromise.

In 2010, Pastor Jeff Schwarzentraub and a small group of believers launched what was then known as Harvest Bible Chapel Denver, meeting in rented spaces with nothing more than a Bible, a bold vision, and a relentless trust in God’s power. From those humble beginnings, God began to move. Lives were saved. Marriages were restored. Disciples were made—and this continues to happen.

In 2013, God miraculously provided our first permanent building. With an annual budget of just $800,000, we faced an impossible need: $1.73 million in six days. Yet through radical generosity and God’s miraculous provision, $1.93 million was raised. That building now serves as the home of BRAVE Academy—discipling the next generation in truth.

In 2016, we launched our Broomfield campus (now Westminster), which has become a thriving hub of worship and discipleship in the north Denver area.

In 2018, we became BRAVE Church—a name that reflects the Spirit-empowered identity we call every believer to embrace: BOLD, RESOLUTE, AUTHENTIC, VIRTUOUS, ENGAGED.

In partnership with the Issachar Alliance, BRAVE has helped support the planting of over 850 churches in 14 nations across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East—many of them in unreached and difficult areas. This partnership has multiplied BRAVE’s global reach far beyond Denver—equipping pastors, planting churches, and advancing the Gospel in some of the hardest places on earth.

In 2024, we expanded into a national radio ministry. Pastor Jeff Ministries broadcasts God’s Word across all 50 states, reaching millions with the hope of the Gospel and calling people everywhere to grow in their faith. We launched pastorjeff.com, developed a phone app, and now have a presence on pray.com to maximize reach. Pastor Jeff Ministries continues to proclaim the Word of God, create resources, and help people take their next step of faith.

Through every challenge and victory, BRAVE Church has remained anchored to the same vision: To Assemble a Spirit-filled Army to Fight for the Fulfillment of the Great Commission in our Lifetime. We’ve seen thousands come to Christ and be baptized, planted churches throughout the world, proclaimed the Word through various forms of media, opened a school, and trained leaders to stand firm in a world that desperately needs truth.

This is not just history—it’s a foundation. And now, we’re TAKING GROUND for what’s next.

From its inception in 2010, BRAVE Church has been growing and advancing Christ’s Kingdom in obedience to the Great Commission—and we’re not about to stop now. The hunger for truth is undeniable; people are yearning to find it. What started with twelve people is now several thousand, but we live in a city of over two million people; most of whom are set to experience a Christless eternity.

BRAVE Church is a generous church. God has always provided— and our people have always responded with radical faith. But what we’re stepping into now requires more. We have a capacity problem; it’s time to break free and move forward.

KINGDOM IMPACT

Multiply Campuses Across Denver—Eliminate debt and prepare to launch the next BRAVE campus—the first of several we desire to strategically place throughout the Denver area. We are praying and seeking the Lord for where our next campus should be located so that more people can hear the Word, grow in faith, and rise up as bold warriors for Jesus Christ.

BRAVE Academy Campuses—Everywhere we plant a local campus, we desire to establish a BRAVE Academy elementary school with the vision of eventually feeding into a centralized BRAVE High School. This ensures that each new BRAVE campus not only expands worship and discipleship but also anchors a school to disciple the next generation in biblical truth.

Expand Prison Campuses—God is opening extraordinary doors behind prison walls. We will officially launch a BRAVE Church campus at the Buena Vista Correctional Complex in 2025, where over 100 men are already experiencing bold worship, biblical teaching, and life transformation. With the momentum building, we anticipate three to five more prison campuses within the next year.

Jesus didn’t die just for Colorado—He died for every tribe, tongue, and nation. BRAVE Church continues to step into its global calling. By utilizing growing media platforms and international partnerships, we’re ready to multiply disciples and plant churches in unreached places. It’s here—and we refuse to retreat.

• Expand Media Reach—Broadcast bold, Christ-exalting truth to millions through radio, podcasts, digital media, books, and other resources, extending Pastor Jeff's teaching to millions weekly.

Worship is where everything begins at BRAVE. Our spaces are sacred. Truth is declared here. Christ is worshipped here. The Gospel is proclaimed here. Lives are changed here. But right now, our facilities are limiting what God wants to accomplish. We believe the excellence of our facilities should reflect the excellence of our Savior. By upgrading and beautifying our spaces, we are creating environments where generations can encounter the Lord with reverence and joy.

Englewood: Outdated facilities limit our worship and broadcast reach. Renovations—including new seating, flooring, video capabilities, and media space—will create a Spirit-filled hub that multiplies Gospel impact. These updates would provide a greater broadcast experience for our other campuses and allow Pastor Jeff to occasionally preach live from another campus. In addition, we plan to carpet, paint, and update the rest of the building to honor the Lord with what we have been entrusted.

Westminster: Seating and parking are the two biggest issues in Westminster that we’d like to alleviate. We want to add more parking spaces, more seats in our existing auditorium, and expand our bathroom facilities. We also desire to move our current LED wall in Englewood to Westminster for a better viewing experience.

BRAVE Academy: As enrollment grows, we desire to expand classrooms to disciple more students at our campuses and prepare for a future BRAVE High School.
